A New Mexico native, born in Carlsbad. I first started listening to music at a very young age. My parents bought me a drum set in 1965 when i started listening to music on the radio. Like the rest of the world, I fell in love with the Beatles. After the family moved to the Dallas area, I knew I wanted to get in to the radio business after listening to iconic on air personalities like Ron Chapman and Paul Harvey. I got my break after going to Elkins Broadcasting School in Dallas. The first radio job was KOKO AM in Austin… all instrumentals, all the time. Easy listening. You have to start somewhere! Ha! The transition to other formats got better, and I’m glad to say I’ve stuck with what I truly love, after all these years.
My hobbies include riding my bicycle daily, tennis, playing the drums, and watching classic movies like the Godfather, It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad World, and Giant. I recently got married to my beautiful wife, and have one dog, and 2 cats.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to be living in Las Cruces, and continue being on the air with a fun station like 99-5 Zia Country!
