Fans encouraged to arrive early to avoid delays. Please refer to the Field of Dreams map below for more details on parking, entry gates.
One of the most anticipated high school football matchups in New Mexico returns this week as the 62nd Annual Rivalry Game between Mayfield High School and Las Cruces High School kicks off the 2025 football season at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 22, at the Las Cruces Public Schools Field of Dreams Stadium. Utility work near the stadium at the intersection of Tashiro and Motel Boulevard could cause some traffic delays, so athletes, students, parents and fans are encouraged to slow down in the area, watch for law enforcement and plan to arrive early.
Mayfield High School will serve as the home team, with fans entering through the west side gates. Las Cruces High School is the visiting team, and their fans will enter through the east side gates.
Athlete parking will be designated as follows:
- Mayfield athletes: North lot
- Las Cruces High athletes: East lot
Booster clubs may set up between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. on game day. Each school is allowed one trailer or RV. Please note that additional tailgates are not permitted, and parking spaces may not be blocked with tents, chairs, cornhole games, or other items. Public parking will open at 4:00 p.m., and stadium gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
Fans are reminded that the LCPS Clear Bag Policy will be strictly enforced. Please remember no outside food or drinks are allowed inside the Field of Dreams, including Yeti or Stanley cups. Guests are invited to bring one unopened bottle of water and concessions will be available. Additionally, all ticketing is digital at the Field of Dreams – there are no cash sales. Attendees are encouraged to secure their tickets in advance and arrive early to ensure a smooth entry. Fans who plan on attending multiple games this year are encouraged to check out the Annual Pass option which provides 125 game tickets for the cost of 26 tickets for adults or 18 games for students. Some exclusions apply, please check the LCPS Athletics page for details.
