A fire damaged a home on Alamo Street Thursday evening.
About 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, Las Cruces firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at a home on the 1300 block of Alamo Street. Fire crews arrived to find flames and smoke coming from the rear of a single-story house.
Firefighters battled difficult conditions that slowed their effort, but were able to bring the fire under control within about 45 minutes. A search of the home determined there were no occupants.
No injuries were reported.
The structure sustained heavy fire and smoke damage. The cause of the fire and damage estimates have yet to be determined.
