This could mean a greater focus on businesses or infrastructure, the environment or social equity. The possibilities for the W. Picacho and Motel Boulevard area rely on input from the public.
You can review the plan and provide your feedback by visiting our W. Picacho and Motel Boulevard webpage. Organizers have pulled a few examples from the plan for to you visualize the potential for this area. What are your thoughts on more housing, a food truck court, or a plaza? How about a water feature at the park? Could you see yourself visiting? Or would you support converting hotel space into apartment spaces?
The City is asking for input through Wednesday, October 29, 2025 to help us shape these concepts. Your voice matters—help shape the future of West Picacho and Motel Boulevard. Please visit LasCruces.gov/WPicachoMotelMRA to review and provide feedback.
