LCPS Distribute Free Meals

LAS CRUCES – Las Cruces Public Schools will distribute free holiday meal kits for children before students are dismissed for winter break, with pickup scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 17.

The LCPS Nutrition Services team will begin distributing meal kits at 5:30 p.m. from its warehouse at 2101 Tashiro Drive. The program serves children ages 1 to 18.

Traffic in the area will be affected. Beginning at 4 p.m. Dec. 17, Tashiro Drive between Motel Boulevard and Valley Drive will be closed to both eastbound and westbound traffic.

Families picking up meal kits are asked to enter the Field of Dreams parking lot using the Motel Boulevard entrance west of the field. Traffic will be routed through the Field of Dreams parking lot and into the Nutrition Services parking lot on Tashiro Drive. Vehicles exiting the pickup site will be directed to make a left turn only onto Tashiro Drive toward Valley Drive.
