Country music star Miranda Lambert is set to be honored in a special way.
Miranda will receive the Country Icon Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards.
“A tour de force in country music for more than 20 years, Miranda Lambert’s groundbreaking albums continue to capture the hearts of fans around the world,” said Jen Neal, NBCUniversal Entertainment’s executive vice president for live events and specials, in a press release. “We’re so excited to celebrate her career, fierce individualism and innovation in the industry with the Country Icon Award.”
On Sept. 13, Lambert will release her new studio album, “Postcards from Texas,” which is the follow-up to her hit 2022 album, “Palomino.”
“Palomino” helped Lambert earn a Grammy nomination for best country album and it’s also hailed as the largest female country album debut of 2022.
