Las Cruces Public Libraries will offer a series of free computer literacy classes throughout May to help adults build digital confidence and improve everyday tech skills.
All sessions are free and open to the public. No registration is required, but space may be limited. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptops if possible.
Monday classes at Munson Senior Center
Classes begin at 10 a.m. in Meeting Room 3 at the Munson Senior Center, 975 S. Mesquite St.
- iPad basics – May 12, 10 a.m. to noon. Explore how to navigate an iPad and use basic apps.
- Internet basics and safety – May 19, 10 a.m. to noon. Learn how to search the web and stay safe online.
Tuesday classes at Branigan Library
Classes begin at 2 p.m. in the Computer Training Classroom at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave.
- iPad basics – May 6, 2 to 4 p.m.
- Word basics – May 13, 2 to 4 p.m. Create simple documents using Microsoft Word.
- Excel basics – May 20, 2 to 4 p.m. Learn how to build basic spreadsheets.
- PowerPoint basics – May 27, 2 to 4 p.m. Make simple, effective presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
