Before Las Cruces Public Schools sends students home for the winter break, the LCPS Nutrition Services team will distribute meal kits for children ages one to 18 starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17.
“As we head into winter break, our priority remains the same – making sure every child has access to nutritious meals,” said Maria Guerra, LCPS Director of Nutrition Services. “The holiday meal distribution is one way we can continue to support our students and families while school is out.”
Meal kits will be available at the Nutrition Services warehouse, 2101 Tashiro Drive. Children must be in the vehicle at the time of pickup, and children that qualify will receive two meal kits, each containing five breakfast and five lunch meals.
LCPS will observe winter break from Dec. 22, 2025 through Jan. 2, 2026. For more information on the holiday meal distribution, call (575) 527-5994.
