DASO Seeks Information in February Shooting

Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Dona Ana County is offering up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the person or persons responsible for severely beating and shooting a man in February.
 
The incident occurred during the early-morning hours of Feb. 27, 2024, near Johnson Mobile Home Park, 5993 Las Alturas Dr., just south of Las Cruces. The Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
 
Sheriff’s office deputies located the 36-year-old man severely beaten and suffering from a gunshot wound during the early-morning hours of Tuesday, Feb. 27, near the mobile home park where he lived. The victim was in critical condition when he was transported to an area hospital.
 
The victim remains hospitalized in late April.
 
Detectives are asking for anyone with information on this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
