Doña Ana County will host Vitalant’s annual spring blood drive from 8:30 a.m. to noon Friday, March 28, in the lobby of the Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd.
Appointments are available every 15 minutes but walk-ins will also be accepted. To schedule an appointment, visit Vitalant’s website.
According to Vitalant, blood donations are critical to help ensure a steady blood supply for hospitals and patients in need. Donated blood can be used for surgeries, cancer treatments, chronic illnesses and traumatic injuries. The American Red Cross and Mayo Clinic also emphasize that donated blood is vital for treating anemia, supporting emergency care and aiding in recovery after childbirth and surgery.
All donors will be entered for a chance to win one of two $5,000 gift cards.
